Tour Schedule
5:30 AM — Hotel Pickup
Early morning pickup from your Kathmandu hotel and transfer to the domestic terminal at Tribhuvan International Airport.
6:00 AM — Airport Check-in & Briefing
Check in for the helicopter flight. Safety briefing from the pilot.
6:30 AM — Helicopter Departure
Lift off from Kathmandu. The helicopter climbs over the Kathmandu Valley and heads east towards the Khumbu. Watch the terrain transform from green hills to snow-covered peaks.
7:30-9:00 AM — Everest Region Landing & Breakfast

9:00-9:30 AM — Optional Lukla Stop

Weather dependent: Helicopter flights operate only in suitable weather. If your flight is cancelled due to weather, we reschedule to the next available day or provide a full refund.
Altitude: You will spend approximately 30-45 minutes at extreme altitude (~5,500m). Most people experience no issues for such a short duration, but inform us of any heart or respiratory conditions.
Shared vs Private: Shared flights seat 4-5 passengers and are more affordable. Private charters give you the helicopter to yourself (or your group). Contact us for both options.

Is this tour safe?
Yes. We work with experienced Nepali helicopter operators with strong safety records. Pilots are highly experienced in mountain flying. All flights carry safety equipment and are monitored by air traffic control.
What if the weather is bad?
If the flight cannot operate due to weather, we reschedule to the next available day. If you cannot wait, we provide a full refund. Weather decisions are made by the pilot on the morning of the flight.
Do I need to be physically fit?
No trekking or physical exertion required. You step out of the helicopter at the landing site and walk a few metres. However, you will be at extreme altitude briefly — inform us of any medical conditions.
When is the best time to fly?
October-November and March-May offer the clearest skies. December-February is cold but often crystal clear. Monsoon (Jun-Aug) has the most weather cancellations but flights still operate on clear mornings.
How many people share a helicopter?
Shared flights have 4-5 passengers plus pilot. Everyone gets a window seat. Private charters are available for 1-5 passengers.
